Mario’s Recently Updated Official Profile Reveals He No Longer Works As A Plumber.

All of us know about Nintendo‘s Iconic character and Mascot Super Mario as a plumber. But the character appears to do anything from fighting evil turtles to exploring the galaxy except plumbing.

It appears though that Mario is no longer working as a plumber. Nintendo recently uploaded a Character profile in Japan which reads:

“All around sporty, whether it’s tennis or baseball, soccer or car racing, he [Mario] does everything cool. As a matter of fact, he also seems to have worked as a plumber a long time ago…”

Mario wasn’t always a plumber, in fact in his first appearance as ‘Jumpman’ in 1981’s Donkey Kong he was a carpenter most probably working on the construction site.

He was actually turned to a plumber in 1983’s Super Mario Bros. after Luigi’s introduction, as most of the game took place underground.

Thinking of all the Mario games over the years, Mario has had many jobs and it seems like he should rethink his future plans.
