Director Fowler Comments on Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Video Game Easter Eggs

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie is dropping quite some excitement balls. With its release around the corner, director Jeff Fowler teased the audience that the upcoming film has many many Easter eggs. Viewers can now fully anticipate an incredible treasure trove of Easter eggs in this much-awaited sequel.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – “Chock Full”

The director of the high-anticipated sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2 appeared in an interview with IGN. Fowler said the viewers and fans could expect to find “all kinds of Easter eggs”. He further describes the movie as “chock full” of references to the video game and the tornado biplane (one of the Easter eggs) featured in the trailer. This brings back to life one of the most iconic and stunning visuals of the video game.

A Bag Full of Promises

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 seems to have a pot brewing of promises. The upcoming movie is all set to relight the screens with the recreation of the final boss fight from Sonic 2. It appears that Fowlers is dead-set on providing a whole Sonic experience to the viewers and fans. In the same interview with IGN, Fowler also hinted at the new inclusions of Tails and Knuckles.

Fowler has attempted to bring back the iconic elements from the games, including the aesthetics. The Tails’ biplane, along with the Eggman’s floating vehicle, has all the moviegoers excited. But of course, the director is bringing more to the movie from the video game than just the visuals, the aesthetics, and the Easter eggs.

This became explicitly clear post the Super Bowl spot showed more of the Knuckles of Idris Elba. The upcoming sequel might become a video game extravaganza that the franchise lovers will fall in love with all over again.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is based on the beloved video-game franchise.

This sequel movie will feature the supporting characters from the video game Knuckles and Tails, played by actors Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey. A film with a good comeback story is rare, but Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is ready to dismantle this myth.

The prequel movie Sonic the Hedgehog initially made some mistakes. The film’s first trailer was criticized, but when the second trailer was released, the reaction changed, and the movie went on to become a box office hit.

It looks like the franchise makers have learned from their past mistakes, and the first trailer of the sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, came out to be splendid. The trailer is jam-packed with lots of game references and recreation of the visual as well as aesthetics of the game.

In the latter part of the trailer, viewers can also see the appearance of Master Emerald in an ancient temple.

Many speculate that this is a possible indication of Hidden Palace One from Sonic & Knuckles. And this is just the beginning. The trailers can only hint at so much. But we gather from the trailer of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that it will break all records of video-game adaptation movies and set new standards.
