‘Don’t yell at him in the street’: Bruce Willis’ wife makes emotional plea to paparazzi as his dementia condition gets worse

In a string of emotional Instagram posts, Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis has requested paparazzi to stop yelling at her husband in the streets, as it directly affects his dementia. The videos have received a lot of support and appreciation on social media as Emma addressed concerns not related to just Bruce Willis but for all the patients suffering from the condition.

She pointed out one recent incident in particular when photographers tried to talk to Bruce Willis. This was when he made a rare public appearance to meet his friends in Santa Monica. Emma’s videos raised awareness on how difficult it must be for someone with this condition to go out anywhere and navigate safely.

The original video has accrued over 750k views on Instagram, following which Emma decided to make two more posts. In the new clips on her account, she thanked fans for her support, while taking a moment to shed light on caregivers of dementia patients. The comments section is filled with people who stand by her opinion and appreciate her advocating for her husband.

Why did Bruce Willis’ wife call out paparazzi?

It is common knowledge that influential celebrities get mobbed and hounded in the streets by photographers and journalists. When it’s someone of Bruce Willis’ stature, one can expect no less from the paparazzi. However, the actor recently retired after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Emma Heming Willis openly requested photographers to keep their space from her husband when they try to “get their exclusives.” She specifically asked people to stop their “woo-hoo” and “yippie ki-yay” shouts at the Die Hard actor. The videos have raked in a lot of support thanks to the awareness it has raised about dementia caregivers.
