The 2023 Pokemon GO Spring into Spring event starts Tuesday, April 4, at 10:00 AM Local Time and ends on Monday, April 10, at 8:00 PM Local Time. Cutiefly and its evolution Ribombee debuted in the event with several other costumed Pocket Monsters.
This is the first time anyone is getting their hands on these Monsters, and it serves as a major event for trainers looking to complete their Pokedex. But there is still a question about their shiny availability. Although Cutiefly and its evolution Ribombee debuted in Pokemon GO, little is known about their Shiny variants. Niantic hasn’t yet released the Shiny versions of this monster; read through the article to know why.
Why has Pokemon GO not released Shiny Cutiefly and Shiny Ribombee yet?

Despite Cutiefly and Ribombee’s debut, players can’t encounter their shiny companions during the Spring into Spring event. Pokemon GO developers usually don’t release the original Pokemon and its shiny variants simultaneously. Their strategy involves releasing the shiny variants later in one of the game’s events.
Pokemon GO fans constantly criticize Niantic for being greedy, as they repeatedly use the same strategy. Players accuse the developers of debuting Pocket Monsters and tempting fans to spend money and participate in events by offering their shiny variants as a reward. Most recently, Niantic was heavily criticized for increasing the price for Remote Raid Passes, further solidifying players’ criticism.
Trainers can only wait for Pokemon GO developers to release information about these Shiny variants. There have been cases of Shiny Monsters releasing years after their original counterpart’s release. Like the probability of encountering a Shiny Pocket Monster, their debut is also uncertain.
That said, players can still catch multiple Cutiefly and Ribombee in the Pokemon GO Spring into Spring event. This will result in stocking Cutiefly Candy, which can be later used if Shiny Cutiefly is released. Trainers can use the Cutiefly Candy to evolve their Shiny Cutiefly into a Shiny Ribombee.
Tips for catching Cutiefly and Ribombee in Pokemon GO Spring into Spring event 2023

Cutiefly is available to encounter in the wild, 2 km eggs, and 1-star raids during the Spring into Spring event. Players can collect raid passes to encounter Cutiefly repeatedly in 1-Star raids throughout the map. Since the Pocket Monster is an average fighter, solo conquering the raid is possible.
Apart from 2 km eggs, Cutiefly can be encountered in the wild, and players can easily boost its spawn rate. Using items like Incense and Lure Modules and stacking their effects with Weather Boost is one of the most used strategic approaches in the game.
Cutiefly spawn rate increases with Rain and Cloudy weather in Pokemon GO, and attaching a Lure Module in the gyms and Pokestops around such weather conditions works wonders. Players should attach Incense and walk around the Gym and Pokestops to further boost Cutiefly’s spawn rate. Once players get enough Cutiefly, they can easily evolve it into a Ribombee.
That’s all for Cutiefly and its evolution Ribombee on Pokemon GO. This is your chance to catch ’em all and become a true Pokemon GO master. Ready for this new Season 10: Rising Heroes, trainers?
