Dota 2 Latest Update 7.26c Brings Many Talent Changes

7.26c

Valve just released a new patch for one of their most popular games – Dota2. The 7.26c patch most notably addresses talent changes to balance out the weakest and strongest heroes in the game.

This update was widely expected because of the 7.26b update, which made nerfed all talents by 20% on all heroes. Such a change wasn’t the most fabulous idea because some talents were struck and some weren’t.

The newest patch addressed the heroes that were hit hard and is buffing them up. Every single hero got some kind of change, small or big in this patch.

These new changes will make a significant impact on the current meta of the game, as there are a couple of online tournaments being held.

It’s crucial for players who are competing in those tournaments to learn the new changes and adapt to them quickly.

Additionally, esports viewers who watch those tournaments and furthermore bet on Dota 2 on sites like Dota 2 Bets should read about the most noticeable changes, so they have an understanding on what heroes are currently good so that they can bet on the team that picks the best heroes.

You can see all of the changes on the official notes page, or from the game itself.

Today, we are only going to talk about the most noticeable changes.

Most Noticeable Changes

Alchemist’s talents have been balanced at levels 10, 15, and 25. It’s been a no-brainer which talent to pick at those levels, and 70% of people would choose the same talents. These buffs and nerfs should hopefully even those pick rates to 40-60 or even 50-50. People will need to give them a bit of thought, depending on the enemy lineup they are facing.

Riki is a hero that isn’t seen much in the professional scene but has had a few games recently. His level 25 talent got reworked from Cloak and Dagger Doesn’t Reveal to +125 Smoke Screen AoE. This means his invisibility is less impactful and the very late game, but his Smoke ability that silences heroes will hit a more substantial area now.

Perhaps the most significant buff was seen on the hero Outworld Devourer. We’ll undoubtedly see an increase in the win rate on this hero during this patch. The Essence Flux slow has been increased from 11/22/33/44% to 20/30/40/50%. His ultimate ability Sanity’s Eclipse has been buffed on levels 2 and 3 as well, from 150/225/300 to 150/250/350 damage. These changes were a well-needed buff to OD as he has been underwhelming for quite some time now.

Sniper has seen a slight nerf to the slow of his Shrapnel at levels one, two, and three. The change that people in PUBs will love is the reduction in stun duration of his Aghanim’s Scepter ultimate ability from 1.8 seconds to 1.5 seconds. While it’s not huge, it will make our PUB lives easier.

Other worthwhile mentioning changes are:

Clinkz’s Searing Arrows damage from 30/40/50/60 to 25/35/45/55 and

Viper’s Nethertoxin maximum damage per second from 60/80/100/120 to 80/100/120/140.
