How to change World Tier and difficulty in Diablo 4

Diablo 4 World Tiers

Diablo 4 is on the horizon as one of the most anticipated RPGs of 2023. The title shows promise toward player experience as it provides an option to change its World Tiers. These are difficulty levels and the procedure to unlock them will be discussed below.

There are certain prerequisites to shift from one difficulty to another that have to be completed diligently. As players progress through each of these World Tiers they will find themselves engaged with challenging enemies, powerful bosses, and rarer drops. In a way, it enhances the RPG element that incentivizes hardcore grinders and late-game players.

The higher World Tiers will be available for fans to unlock upon completion of the prologue. To cycle through the difficulty level, they will have to meet the criteria and be worthy of the challenges. As the Diablo 4 Open Beta will be available from March 24 to 26, now is the right time to learn about switching World Tiers.

Guide to Diablo 4 World Tiers: Changing the World Difficulty and more

The journey through the Mortal Realm is plagued by fearless mobs, challenging enemies, and powerful bosses. To take that experience a little further and drift away from the monotony, Diablo 4 introduced a World Tier system. There are five difficulty levels that players get to play in the game which are as follows:

  • World Tier 1 – Adventurer
  • World Tier 2 – Veteran
  • World Tier 3 – Nightmare Difficulty
  • World Tier 4 – Hell Difficulty
  • World Tier 5 – Torment Difficulty

As the game loads, you will be able to select between the difficulty level Adventurer and Veteran. For someone new to the title, it is recommended to select Tier 1 as it provides easier content to get accustomed to. For veterans, the World Tier 2 has your name on it as it engages you with difficult-to-kill monsters and behemoths.

There is a character level system in the game which is capped at 100. You will be able to unlock the World Tiers in the game upon reaching level 50.

Another criterion is to complete the campaign that will land you in Kyovashad. Head to the north where you will find the World Tier Statue and interact with it to select various difficulties. To be able to switch between difficulties from the statue is rather convenient, as you are not required to create a new session for the purpose.
