Diablo 4 Necromancer build: Exploring the best options in the game

Affinity type

We will go with bone in this as Necromancers are best suited for bone magic and spells in Diablo 4. Moreover, it will also help with raising undead if you want to form an army to fight for you. You can fire projectiles too which will deal heavy damage to your enemies with this build.

Important skills and spells to unlock

Your entire build will be heavily focused on damaged dealt and AOE attacks in Diablo 4. So, as a very powerful build, it needs some powerful skills and spells to work perfectly.

You must focus on getting Bone Splinters, Bone Spear, Bone Prison, Decrepify, Bone Spirit, Ultimate Bone Storm, and the Army of the Dead.

Bone Storm is arguably the most important skill here as it will do 180% damage over 10 seconds, and if you run it with a golem by your side, you can cast it twice. Supreme Bone Storm will be even better because the attack duration is doubled to 20 seconds. The cooldown for this attack is 60 seconds, but with the skill Rapid Ossification, you can reduce its cooldown time by 1.5 seconds per 100 essences you spend.

As mentioned earlier, this is an offensive build with high AOE damage, plus you will have your undead army protecting you too in Diablo 4.

Additional Tips

Run this build with a Blood Golem, as it can tank in 15% of the damage you receive. As this build also opts to sacrifice both the Skeletal Warriors and Mages which will just make the Bone Storm skill stronger due to the sacrifice effect. But, it is also adviced to not spam Bone Storm too much in Diablo 4, as it might end the fun of the gameplay very soon.

The skill Ossified Essence is also helpful as it will give your bone skills a 1% boost in their damage per point of essence. You can also use Blood skills like Hemmorrhage too. It can act as a healing spell if you are ever in need.
