Genshin Impact players have become quite obsessed with checking out all the latest leaks and rumors about the game rather than the game itself (totally me). The entire player base has been babbling about Fontaine leaks, a new region expected to drop in the 4.0 update of the game. They have also been talking about Fontaine character leaks with a special emphasis on the Hydro Archon. While the update might be far away, numerous leaks have already surfaced. These leaks are obviously not official, making them heavily subject to change. Let’s take a closer look at what these Fontaine leaks in the Genshin Impact community are.

What we know about Fontaine in Genshin Impact

About the region

  • The Fontaine leaks suggest that the next region in Genshin Impact will have a European architectural influence, with a focus on French culture. Why so? Well, the answer is quite simple. It’s because Fontaine is French for the word “Fountain.”
  • This also indicates that the region is ruled by the Hydro Archon, Focalors, which is already known by many.

  • Fontaine will be filled with lakes and rivers, which makes sense as the region’s representative element is Hydro.
  • The central city of Fontaine will be on a vertical platform that will be surrounded by waterfalls.
  • It is unknown whether the region will be explorable all at once or divided into sections like Inazuma and Sumeru.

Fontaine playable characters

This region will introduce many playable characters in the roster. Genshin Impact leaks talking about Fontaine characters are highly in demand by the entire player base, as usual. While some of the characters have known identities, a lot of them remain unnamed as of now.

There exists no gameplay footage of these characters as of now.

  • First: Lynette
  • Second: Chief Justice Neuvillette
  • Third: Focalors
  • Fifth: Captain R
  • Seventh: Lyney

Very little is known about each of these characters, but it is worth mentioning that Lyney is speculated to be from the region of Mondstadt.

About the Hydro Archon: Focalors

As mentioned earlier, credible leakers have already leaked character designs associated with Fontaine, and they are particularly interested in the Hydro Archon Focalors. By the 4.1 or 4.2 patch updates, we can expect announcements regarding her character.

Physical Attributes:

  • The God of Justice is seen to have the body of a teen female with short white hair. The shades of blue in her attire are rather unique and beautiful, as shown below.

These designs are heavily subject to change and might be altered before HoYoverse officially releases her in the game.

Weapons and Skillset 

  • Many believe that Folcalors will be a Claymore user or even a Sword user. But there is no actual evidence to support this statement, as no gameplay footage exists as of now.

  • It has been speculated that the Hydro Archon’s skill is related to “Gravity,” and it scales from her Max HP, which has left many players confused.
  • It is possible that she is concealing her true identity as a god, similar to Zhongli and Venti as seen in the game. The Hydro Vision around her waist suggests this.

These were some of the leaks that I came across. Do keep in mind that nothing is official and everything mentioned above is heavily subject to change. There is very little information about Fontaine from the leaks we have so far. With this, we need to be patient and wait for more updates from Genshin Impact leakers. It’s also important to save enough Primogems to get your hands on these characters once released.
