This Timed Research Task is all about Professor Willow. Players will have to complete some simple objectives to get a Willow-inspired avatar and a special encounter with Melmetal.
This Pokemon will know a Charged Attack Double Iron Bash. In the future, it will also be able to learn the same attack with an Elite Charged TM. Players will have to complete these tasks to earn these rewards.
- Catching 10 Monsters will reward Willow’s Googles.
- Catching 20 Monsters will reward Willow’s Gloves.
- Catch 30 Monsters will reward Willow’s Pants.
- Catch 40 Monsters will reward Willow’s Jacket.
- Catch 50 Monsters will reward Willow’s Boots.
- Transfer 30 Monsters will reward 25 Meltan Candy.
There is also an overall reward for completing all the tasks mentioned above. In addition to the encounter with the Mythical Monster Melmetal, Pokemon GO players can also earn 809 XP and 809 Stardust as an overall reward.
The tasks are easy to complete since trainers will catch pocket monsters throughout the game daily. They can get more Pokeballs by spinning Pokestops and can use different in-game spawn-boosting items. Pokemon GO’s Incense and Lure Modules come in handy at completing tasks like these as these items work best at increasing wild spawns, especially during an event.

To access the Pokemon GO Willow’s Wardrobe Timed Research Tasks, players must pay $4.99 or their local currency equivalent to it. The Willow’s Wardrobe ticket can be bought through the in-game shop, and the payment is not in the form of Poke Coins. They can buy or gift the ticket until June 1, 10:00 AM Local time.
This is a season-long event, but they must finish the task until June 30, 10:00 AM local time to enjoy all the rewards. After this, the ticket will expire, and it is non-refundable.
That said, trainers should get geared up and go out there to collect these in-game clothing items and get dressed as the professor. They only have a few months to collect these exclusive items. Compared to the 400 Meltan Candy required to evolve a Meltan into Melmetal, the price of $4.99 to encounter the Mythical Pokemon is more viable.
