This is The 5th Time You will be Able to Play The Game Free for 3 Days

Overwatch has become pretty famous within time and it has seriously attracted a lot of gamers towards its different (not really) gameplay and game tactics. There are other capture the object and super hero sci-fi titles right now but to be honest, Overwatch was the first to multiplayer title to introduce such sort of idea and mixing it with a sci-fi game with a number of champions with a range of different abilities and powers.

Since its official launch at 24 May 2016, Overwatch has attracted a lot of multiplayer and sci-fi title lovers within the passage of time. The Santa Monica’s best developed title ever was able to gain 15 million players and 500 million hours of play within just three months after its official release.

However, similar to any game, the players seemed to lose interest in the game and they seemed to get bored by the same heroes and gameplay which put the developers at Blizzard in a bit worry. However, they came up with the universal solution to this problem and to get more players to play the game.

If you haven’t figured it out already, the game is going to be free for three days on Steam Store, Xbox Live and PlayStation Store from 22 – 25 September. It is not for the first time Blizzard decided to make it free for 3 days in a row and to be honest, it has already gone free on stores 4 times. Which means that you will be able to play Overwatch free for the 5th time but only for three days.

The ultimate tactic behind this is pretty clear and it may sound unfair but this is not going to get the game a huge number of players. To be made clear, being free doesn’t mean that you will always be able to play if forever. As Blizzard mentioned in its blog post :

For this free weekend, we’re making Overwatch‘s full roster of 25 heroes and 16 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.

So if you want to try the classic Sci-fi team battles, make sure to play it for free three days in a row. Also as stated by Blizzard, your progress will be saved so if you love to play the game and want to indulge even more into it, you can buy the game and continue from where you ended up during the free “test drive” of the game.
