The usage of Haki is practically essential in the New World of One Piece if you want to be the Pirate King. Thus, Luffy had to take on the grueling path of learning this essential ability.

Haki is one of the strongest powers in the One Piece world. It is the manifestation of one’s vigor, transferred into two main types – Armament and Observation. Characters have to equip these to survive and win fights in the New World, but there are some chosen ones with another kind, known as Conqueror’s Haki.

This anime gave fans some of the best Haki-based battles in the series with great attacks. Thus, we will rank the top 10 Haki-based attacks in the series.

Top 10 fights in One Piece: Ranking the best Haki-based attacks

10) El Thor by Enel

Enel was arguably the most powerful enemy Luffy faced up until the Marineford Arc. He was a Logia Devil Fruit type user, the Goro-Goro-no-mi, and the manifestation of lightning itself.

Enel had many more powerful attacks than El Thor like Amaru and Raigo, which were basically entire nukes. But this was the one attack that used the Observation Haki to a different level.

Enel used it to execute people, who said anything bad about him, throughout the flying island of Skypiea. The sky opened up and an enormous beam of lightning hit the target. He was so good at using the Observation Haki that the entire island fell under his domain of attack, from wherever he was present. He could even use this move directly from his staff to eliminate targets from a point-blank range in One Piece.

9) Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai by Roronoa Zoro

This is the Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai, Zoro’s strongest attack in One Piece. He used this during his battle with the huge stone human, Pica, in the Dressrosa Arc. The character also used this move to counter Fujitora’s meteor in the Stampede movie, but that is non-canon.

This attack has the ability to slice meteors or an entire stone monster, who is almost the size of an entire city in Pica’s case. Thus it can easily rank as one of the strongest attacks in the anime.

8) Ryusoken: Ryu no Ibuki by Sabo

Sabo is Luffy’s childhood friend in One Piece who he presumed to be dead until the Dressrosa Arc. He is also the second in command of the Revolutionary Army.

Ryusoken: Ryu no Ibuki is one of Sabo’s strongest attacks. He infuses his fist in Armament Haki and can crack enormous boulders into pieces by using his Dragon Breath attacks. He is also now the owner of the Mera-Mera-no-mi after Ace’s death.

7) God Thread by Doflamingo

The strongest attack possessed by Doflamingo in One Piece, God Thread needs his Ito-Ito-no-mi to be awakened. He can change any object around into strings, coat them with Armament Haki, and makes them killing machines. Further, he can cut through practically anything with his awakened Devil Fruit, destroying anything in its path.

6) King Cobra by Luffy

King Cobra is Luffy’s ultimate attack in his Snakeman form. He infuses his arm with Armament Haki and makes it stretch indefinitely through different directions. This is the fastest melee attack Luffy has and it gains momentum while it keeps moving. The character blows more air into it to make it bigger, thus it was essential to deal hefty damage to Katakuri.

5) Zangiri Mochi by Katakuri

Katakuri is the strongest sweet commander of the Big Mom Pirate and his fight with Luffy is one of the longest in One Piece. Zangiri Mochi is his ultimate move and he used it to tackle Luffy’s Snakeman form.

He extends his arm and makes it into a club with sharp spikes, and infuses it with Armament Haki to hit his target. It injured Luffy badly, even when he was in his Gear 4 Snakeman form.

4) Kong Gatling Gun by Luffy

If you think King Kong Gun that Luffy used to finish Doflamingo was strong, imagine multiple of those falling at the same time. The Kong Gatling Gun is his traditional Gatling move, but in his Gear 4 Bounceman state, with huge fists coated in Advanced Armament and Conqueror’s Haki. He was seen using this against Kaido.

3) Thunder Bagua by Kaido

Kaido is hailed as the strongest creature in One Piece, as he is treated more like a Dragon than a human. One of the Four Emperors of the Sea, he has a plethora of destructive attacks and Thunder Bagua is one of them.

Kaido infuses his huge spiked club with Advanced Armament and Conqueror’s Haki and anything that comes in its path, just disappears. The thunder from the heavens is just an added perk to this attack.

2) Togen Totsuka by Kozuki Oden

The first person to ever fatally injure the indestructible Kaido, Kozuki Oden was hailed as the mightiest hero of the Land of Wano. He struck the final attack of his life, called Togen Totsuka, before he was executed by Kaido himself.

Kaido treacherously won the fight by after getting assistance from a foul old woman, otherwise, Oden would have killed him. Togen Totsuka is a result of coating both the swords of Oden – Enma and Ame no Habakiri, with Advanced Armament Haki or Ryuo in the Oden Two-sword Style.

1) Gol D. Roger’s and Whitebeard’s Haki clash

Roger vs Whitebeard

A Haki clash that was never seen before, two of the strongest pirates of all time gave birth to this phenomenon. Both Roger and Whitebeard coated their weapons with Advanced Armament Haki and lashed at each other with ferocity like no other. Their weapons did not even touch but a negative space was created between them as the laws of physics failed in front of their might.

The force from the clash blew some away, while some lost consciousness due to the Conqueror’s Haki from the two legends. Both of their attacks easily formed the strongest Haki-based attack in One Piece.

This concludes the list of the top 10 Haki-based attacks in One Piece. As mentioned earlier, this is a very subjective list and reflects the writer’s personal opinions. It does not attack or demean anyone else’s opinion or rankings.
