Here are the odds and pick for the 2022 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The Boston Celtics (2nd seed) had quite a rough playoff matchup in the first and second rounds of this year’s playoffs. Although they were up against two of the best teams in the East, they still managed to get past both of them. First, they swept the Durant and Irving duo in Brooklyn, then they axed Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks in 7 games.

On the other hand, Miami Heat (1st seed) had it easier. In the first round, they battled against an Ice Cold Trae Young, who struggled to score in that outing. Their semi-finals matchup, the Sixers, wasn’t necessarily better. A washed James Harden and a semi-injured Joel Embiid were not what the Miami Heat were expecting. As a result, they ended Phillies’ championship aspiration in 6 games (4-2).

Now, in the Eastern Conference Finals, the top two in the East will face off against each other for a chance at another NBA Finals appearance. This is the exact scenario 2 years ago – Miami versus Boston in the conference finals. Though Boston did everything they could in that series, Miami still came out on top and faced the eventual champions, L.A. Lakers.

Heat Versus Celtics, Who Comes Out Of This Series Alive?

The Miami Heat team is a very complete team consisting of tough veterans and some talented youngsters who can fair well with other teams at both ends of the floor. Led by the All-Star Jimmy Butler, this heat team is a tough team to beat when their chemistry clicks. In addition to that, their defense is also top tier, with Butler, Lowry, and Adebayo anchoring the defensive end.

Their offense is equally as great as their defense too. With the offensive firepower of Butler, Herro, and Oladipo. The problem is, that South Beach needs a CLOSER. A Kevin Durant/LeBron James/Damian Lillard type of guy. As good and as clutch as Jimmy Butler is, he is nowhere near the level of those guys. In a battle against the top defensive team in the league (the Celtics), they need someone they can rely on come crunch time.

Similar to Miami, Boston Celtics also pride themselves on emphatic defense. They are statistically the best defensive team in the league plus they have two of the best defenders today namely Marcus Smart (2022 Defensive Player of the Year) and Robert Williams III (possible selection to the All-Defensive team this year). Not to mention, Jayson Tatum is already emerging as an elite superstar in the NBA, which means that this team could potentially be a huge threat to the championship. Other great casts of this Celtics team include Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Grant Williams, Derrick White, and Daniel Theis.

These two teams have already faced in the past and will face once again to prove who is better than who. If we look at the odds, Boston Celtics surely have the upper hand against the Heat. No doubt that Miami is playing good basketball, but the depth this Boston Celtics team has is limitless. If the C’s continue their level of play, they can close out this series in 6 or 7 games.
