An alleged script for the 2023 NBA Finals is creating a buzz online
A seeming script of what could happen in the upcoming NBA Finals and who will emerge as the champions are spreading on the internet. They were written on a crumpled paper titled “NBA 2022/2023 Season Final Screenplay”.
The supposed script wants to make a scenario wherein the Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals while the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets in the West. The Finals would then be between the Lakers and Celtics rivalry, in which the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Boston Celtics in 7 games for their 18th NBA championship. Moreover, it clearly states that LeBron James will win the Bill Russell Finals MVP award. There are also some details with specifics, such as Nikola Jokic scoring a 40-point triple-double in game 3 of the Western Conference Finals or LeBron scoring 53 in game 7 of the Finals.
Is this real, or is it fake?
We have to give props to whoever made this, but this script is fake. The format needs to be more consistent, saying that the final air date would be July 18, 2023, but it also states that game seven is scheduled on 6/18/23 (June 18). Indeed, the Finals cannot be scheduled in July. Plus, the NBA can’t rig games like these (or can they?). Specifically, stating that LeBron, Jokic, or Jimmy Butler will score certain points seems unbelievable.

We are sure this is just some impractical joke, but Lakers fans love the result of this leaked document. LeBron will win his 5th championship, while the L.A. Lakers will win their 18th chip in franchise history.
On a serious note, if this script does come true, it would be a great battle between LeBron/AD and Tatum/Brown. The Lakers will go head-to-head with the Celtics, their biggest rival. These two powerhouse teams will race for their 18th trophy. That is if they meet in the Finals. But, before that, they must first face the biggest hurdle in their respective Conference Finals.
