How to start the Leap of the Faithful quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
The best way to go about Assassin’s Creed Mirage is by exploring what the game offers. While strolling around Karkh, you will hear a group of kids causing a commotion somewhere in the Al-Mi’dhana Al-‘Ateeqa area.
As Basim gets closer to the source of the noise, it seems that the noise is coming from a group of children worrying about their friend. One of the kids mentions that their friend might break their neck, further fueling Basim’s curiosity.
Although you won’t initially see them, all you have to do is follow the children’s voices. Once you get to the scene, you will find a group of children trying to get their friend to come down. Use the scaffolding on the building beside the tower to get a closer look at what is happening.
As Basim gets closer to where the Young Eagle is standing, the boy tries to get his friends to stop yelling at him.
This will have Basim point out that the young boy preparing to perform a leap of faith (one of the most iconic moves in the Assassin’s Creed franchise) has gotten himself into a tricky situation. From how things look, the Young Eagle doesn’t seem too confident and comfortable with the stunt he is about to pull.
The Old Eagle Meets the Young Eagle
To further progress through the Leap of the Faithful quest, make your way up to the tower using the available structures around you. Once you get up there with the young boy, it will trigger a heartwarming cutscene, which shows us a more sensitive and warm side to Basim in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
When he introduces himself to the young boy, Basim tries to make it look like he’s stuck in the same dilemma as the child, sharing that he “climbed up here without thinking it through.” In an attempt to boost the boy’s confidence, Basim asks for the boy’s help in getting down.
However, the quest is called the Leap of the Faithful for a reason. According to the young boy, he climbed up there not to impress his friends but because of what he heard about the Hidden Ones and how they could perform leaps of faith.
The young boy then expresses he wants to see if what was said about the Hidden Ones is true, only believing in such things if someone showed him it was possible to jump from a high place and survive.
How to finish the quest
Based on the young boy’s words, it appears that he will only get down from the tower if someone shows him how to perform the leap of faith. With Basim already being an expert at this, all you have to do is walk to the edge of the wood sticking out and jump into the pile of hay at the bottom.
Once Basim emerges from the hay, he will tell the young boy that he can do it. Without missing a beat, the young boy will jump off from the tower and land directly into the stack of hay. It will take him a while to regain his composure, but when he does, he realizes that Basim is one of the Hidden Ones.
This completes the Leap of the Faithful quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Other rewards
Before leaving the area, make sure to synchronize and update your map using the viewpoint located at the tip of the tower.
You can also jump into one of the tower’s windows and open a chest containing valuable loot like Steel Ingot, Leather, and Components.
