Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Meet The Order
Similar to the previous Assassin’s Creed games, your task as the player is to take out dangerous people like the members of the Order of the Ancients. Though they are not as many as the assassination marks given to players in previous titles like Odyssey and Valhalla, each one of these members pose a high risk to society. Among the members of The Order are those who take advantage of innocent civilians, using and abusing the power that was entrusted to them. Al-Ghul (Mas’ood Al-Ya’qoob)
One of the first members you encounter early on in the game. Al-Ghul takes advantage and exploits those who are desperate and disenfranchised. He is known for his cruel act of making his subjects dig in the desert, though there is no clear reason why Al-Ghul orders this. Though he masquerades as a renowned soap mill owner, this is how he makes connections and manipulates migrant laborers by feeding them empty promises of a livelihood. Through the caravanserai, Al-Ghul is able to find those who are eager to make a living.
Al-Rabisu (Fazil al-Kemsa)
A scholar who is revered by many because of his relentless pursuit of knowledge. He is known to society as the Great Scholar of the House of Wisdom. His practices are a perfect display of what lengths one will go to in their search for knowledge in this world. His name is (Al-Rabisu) is an ancient Mesopotamian word that translates to “demon”, which is quite fitting given how much his mission for knowledge has corrupted him. Al-Rabisu is known for illegally and illicitly acquiring books that will give him some of the knowledge he seeks, but he is also known for the hellish experiments he conducts on human subjects in exchange for Gold.
The Treasurer (Ning)
The Treasurer has kept their identity under wraps, but because of her desire to locate an ancient Chinese artifact that found itself in Baghdad, Ning has come out of the shadows to fulfill her duty as The Treasurer of The Order.
The Harbormaster (Al-Kullulu)
Under direct orders from his organization, The Harbormaster has seized all crates and packages going into Karkh to locate the Hairpin which Basim feels is connected to The Order in some way. He is in charge of Customs and regulates what goes in and out of the area. However, his connections with The Order has directly affected local businesses like Kong’s as they need to seize packages that come from the East.
The Tax Collector (Al-Anqa)
Another selfish member is The Tax Collector. Merchants fear him as he will do whatever it takes to exploit them of their earnings.
Al-Mardikhwar (Warlord Wasif Al Turki)
He is responsible for executing rebels in the area of Sharqiyah. Wasif is known for being a fear-mongering warlord who will stop at nothing to rid Baghdad of rebels like Ali. With The Order to back him up, Wasif strategically elevates Caliphs and then eliminates them when he feels like it. No one dares mess with this warlord as he is capable of violent acts without having second thoughts.
Al-Bahamut (Qabiha)
Al-Bahamut is the head of the Order of the Ancients. Basim notes that because of Al-Bahamut’s leadership, so many lives have been lost and so much blood has been shed. All of these casualties happened just so she can get her hands on a token she is seeking. Qabiha prefers to hide herself away from the world, resorting to retreating in a chamber to protect herself after learning of how the last Caliph met his demise.
Al-Si’la
Despite not appearing in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Al-Si’la made an appearance in AC Valhalla and is considered a member of the Order of the Ancients.
