According to a recent story citing a leaked image sent to Twitter, Lenovo unintentionally featured the AMD RX 6500 XT. The image reveals some of the card’s key features. The listing was taken down shortly, but not before user KOMACHI ENSAKA was able to grab a screenshot. He then posted the specifications and share them on social media.
It indicates that the yet-to-be-released 6500 XT will have a 4 GB of GDDR 6 memory capacity. It does, however, state that it will be able to support resolutions up to and including 8K. One thing to take note of is the research advises against running games at that resolution on this GPU.

With Intel’s CEO predicting that shortages will last until 2023, there’s a probability that next year could be even worse. However, business as usual continues and the red team and green team are still vying for market dominance with a recent leak revealing the specifications of one of AMD’s yet-to-be-released GPUs.
2022 Release Date?
- AMD was said to be working on some low-cost graphics cards back in November. With the RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 being mentioned, both of which were expected to contain 4 GB of RAM on a 64-bit bus.
- As you might expect, these will not be items aimed at the high-end of the GPU market. These are for individuals looking for something a little less expensive, but not necessarily for modern gaming.
- Little else is known about the AMD 6500 XT. While no official release date has been set, these inexpensive cards are expected to arrive in 2022, presumably to coincide with Nvidia’s announcement of new graphics cards in the new year, as well as Intel’s Arc technology.
The RX 6500 XT and the less-seen RX 6400 are likely to be cheaper than the impending 3090 Ti, but with AMD planning to raise pricing by 10% on the 6000 series, who knows how much they’ll cost by the time consumers get their hands on them. Of course, this assumes that there are enough supplies to go around.
