As scary as the pandemic was, nothing beats the spookiness that American Horror Story (AHS) gives. For more than 10 years, AHS has been giving its fans all out spooks and creeps to fulfill their Friday nights. After 10 seasons, we are left wondering: Could there be a season 11? If so, when could be the possible release date of season 11?
Since 2011, American Horror Story has been driving all of us nuts. They’ve been enamoring us with wonderful illustrations about the general public’s worst fears like witches, monsters, aliens, serial killers, and haunted houses. Well, it’s more than just the jump scares and frightening creatures. This long-running horror series has actually more to it than just the things mentioned. Things such as the unpredictable plot twists, a variety of stories, relatable characters, the uncanny humor, and of course, the changing of characters.

Season 11 Details (Plot and More)
The 10th season was kind of different from the previous ones. It was a two-part season or what FX (TV Channel responsible for AHS) like to call “Double Feature”. The first part was titled “Red Tide” while the second one was titled “Death Valley”. Fans are speculating that the next season would be the same.
But, during an interview with The Wrap, FX Chairman John Landgraf confirmed that,
“American Horror Story: Season 11 will not be another “Double Feature” “. He also added in the interview, “What I can tell you is that the concept for season 11 is one story. It (actually) takes place in different timelines but it’s one subject, one story, with a beginning, middle, and end, like many of the prior stories.”
Season 11 Possible Release Date
Season 10 was supposed to be released back in 2020, but because of the pandemic, it was delayed for an entire year. It was then aired to the public in 2021 and ended that same year, leaving the fans wanting more of the horror anthology series.
Sadly, there is no official announcement from FX when the 11th season of American Horror Story will be released. But, if we look at the trend on which month each season is released, we can actually look at these as hints.
- First Season: October 5, 2011
- Second Season: October 17, 2012
- Third Season: October 9, 2013
- Fourth Season: October 8, 2014
- Fifth Season: October 7, 2015
- Sixth Season: September 14, 2016
- Seventh Season: September 5, 2017
- Eighth Season: September 12, 2018
- Ninth Season: September 18, 2019
- Tenth Season: October 20, 2021
Every year, FX releases a new season for American Horror Story. Looking at the release dates of the first 10 seasons, we can assume that the next season (season 11) will air between September and October of 2022. That is if they do not break the trend.
