Animal Crossing: New Horizons #1 In France Sales Chart For 9th Week

Animal Crossing New Horizons

Nintendo’s best-selling game of the year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has conquered France’s sales chart for the 9th week. The game has remained #1 in the sales chart for the week starting June 8 (to June 14).

Additionally, it’s a #1 position for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for 9 consecutive weeks. Which is a very big deal. The pandemic had a great role in the game’s success. Just within its first 3 days, the game sold over 1.88 million retail copies in Japan alone.

Keep in mind though, the charts have no mention of The Last of Us Part II since the game’s official release date is June 19. So, it’d be interesting to see if Naughty Dog’s long-awaited and controversial game beats Animal Crossing: New Horizons to take the first position in France’s sales chart.

In the UK, the game has already outsold Animal Crossing: New Horizons and has become this year’s best-selling game. Not just the best-selling game, but the fastest-selling game. This data is just comprising of the game’s retail copies.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains a widely-loved and highly popular game across the globe. Even in our country, India, where Nintendo Switch isn’t available officially, but mostly through the grey market, the sales are unbelievable.

Just during the pandemic, many of my friends went through several connections to find a console just to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’m still finding someone who can sneak in a Nintendo Switch for me.
