Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been rocking sales charts across the globe. It has become the top-selling game of 2020 on Amazon US and beat Doom Eternal to secure the first spot in the UK Weekly Sales Chart. According to another report, the game has sold over 1.88 million physical copies in its first 3 days from release in Japan.

Nintendo released Animal Crossing: New Horizons on March 20th and within its first three days, the game surpassed 1.88 million physical copies sold in Japan, breaking the record set by the Pokemon Sword & Shield, which was around 1.3 million. This number, 1,880,626 retail copies to be exact, includes physical game copies, download cards, and the hardware bundle. Digital sales, however, aren’t included.

The weekly sales of the Nintendo Switch itself during the launch week of the game were 392,576 units.
