Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the featured game for Ubisoft’s Free Weekend. The massive open-world RPG is free to download starting Thursday, February 24th, until Monday, February 28th.
Players on different platforms can download Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for free.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has players take on the role of Eivor, a legendary Viking warrior who embarks on a journey fueled by revenge. Following its predecessor (Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey), players’ choices in the game will affect the game’s story. It also adopts the gear upgrade system present in recent Assassin’s Creed games.
The combat system in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla includes a new duel-wielding feature. This way, players can fully immerse themselves by mimicking the fighting style of Vikings in the past.
Game progression will be carried over if you decide to buy the game.
Every base game feature will be accessible to players during Valhalla’s Free Weekend run. Ubisoft also announced that players’ game progression would be saved after the free trial. So those who wish to continue the game after its trial can import their saved data and enjoy the game after this weekend.
It’s timely for Ubisoft to have Assassin’s Creed Valhalla free to play for a limited time. The game’s next expansion pack, Dawn of Ragnarök, will be released on March 10th. In this expansion pack, Eivor takes on the role of Odin as they set out on a perilous journey to save their son from fire giant, Surtr.
Ubisoft calls the expansion pack its “most ambitious expansion in franchise history.”
Dawn of Ragnarök is rumored to contain 35 hours’ worth of new content. We’re definitely looking forward to what Dawn of Ragnarök has in store for us.
