Bethesda has just pulled off a wholesome move, winning the hearts of fans. When the voice actor Jason Kelley told fans that he did not have a console or a copy of the Deathloop game to experience it on, Bethesda bought him a PS 5 so that he can experience playing as himself in the game.
A short promo video appeared on Deathloop’s official Twitter account just before its launch. This featured Jason Kelley, the voice actor who voiced Colt, the protagonist of the game.
“I cannot wait for you guys to get your hands on this video game. If anyone can get me a copy and a PlayStation 5, I would appreciate it.”

Following this, the Senior Vice President of Communications for Bethesda, Pete Hines, offered to help find the actor a PS5 console in a tweet, so that he can have the chance to experience and enjoy his own performance!

In an interview with JumpCut PLAY following this, Kelley revealed that Peter Hines had indeed made sure that he received a console with the game. Though he has admitted he was just doing a bit and did not actually expect someone to give him a console, he got his wish fulfilled!
“I made an announcement, I was doing a bit and said that I didn’t have one and it turns out, I was just notified by Bethesda that a PS5 was made available and is going to be shipped to me, with the game as well. So, I’ll be playing the game… I’m super excited.”

This may seem surprising, since Bethesda was recently acquired by Xbox manufacturer, Microsoft. This means that Bethesda bought the most popular product of its competitor! While Deathloop is PS 5 exclusive till September of 2022, it is expected to be released for Xbox after that.
