BLACKPINK’s LISA is unstoppable as she breaks records (Guinness World Records, to be exact) and alters the course of music. The Thai K-pop singer made history as her album “LALISA” became the first K-pop soloist to receive one billion Spotify streams.

For her solo album, which she released in 2021, Lisa possesses not one, not two, but seven Guinness World Records. With an astonishing 73.6 million views for her solo debut “LALISA,” she also broke the record for the most YouTube music video views by a solo artist in 24 hours.

BLACKPINK, an all-female South Korean band, continues to progress daily. After smashing multiple records, the band recently lit the Coachella music festival stage on fire. Right now, all members have debuted as soloists and are focusing on their solo activities in addition to the girl band’s schedules. With her album LALISA, Lisa has now broken the previous record.

With a whopping 73.6 million views on LALISA, Lisa now formally holds her seventh Guinness World Record. This includes one for the most views of a new YouTube music video released by a solo artist in 24 hours. In addition, she also holds the record for most views of a new YouTube music video in hours by a solo K-pop artist.

BLACKPINK Lisa became the only K-pop female singer with the first album by a solo K-Pop artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. She earned an incredible milestone in 595 days with just two songs in her solo debut album. Lisa also holds the record for being the fastest solo K-Pop female artist to score one billion Spotify streams.

Lisa also owns additional records in her career. This includes being the first K-pop solo artist to win the K-pop Video at the MTV Music Awards and the first K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2022. In addition to breaking records with her solo music, the singer holds the record for having the most K-pop idol followers on Instagram. She already has more than 93 million followers!

Moreover, Lisa received numerous accolades for her song, making her one of the world’s most well-known K-Pop performers.

As of January 2023, BLACKPINK also had the following records for most subscribers for a band on YouTube. They also became the first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart (female). BLACKPINK also became the first K-pop group to call No.1 on the US albums chart (female).

Who is Lisa of BLACKPINK?

Lalisa Manobal, with the stage name Lisa, has been trained for over five years under YG Entertainment. She’s joined by her colleagues Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo. She then made her musical debut with BLACKPINK in 2016. The 26-year-old is affiliated with numerous global businesses, like CELINE, in addition to her idol career.

In September 2021, Lisa released her debut solo album, LALISA. She created history as she became the first female artist in South Korea to sell 736,000 copies of an album in its first week. Nearing two years, the music video for its lead track, LALISA, has already gained over 615 million views on YouTube.

The viral singles from the album, MONEY and LALISA both peaked in the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. Also, MONEY has been one of the crowd favorites during their BORN PINK concerts and, of course, the recent Coachella headliner appearance of BLACKPINK.
