He then continues to admire Jacklyn Zeman, and her personality as a “bright light,” just like her character Bobbie Spencer. “…and true professional that brought so much positive energy with her to work,” Valentini adds.
Although the executive producer has not written about the 70-year-old actress’ cause of death, ABC7 Eyewitness News reported that it was a “short battle with cancer.” In their report, ABC News was able to talk and get this information from Jackie Zeman’s family.

Moreover, the official social media of General Hospital also expressed their sadness at Zeman’s death. She would always be one of the beloved members of the longtime-running soap opera and be remembered as the iconic Bobbie Spencer. The GH family sends their deepest condolences to the family of Jackie.
The actress is survived by her daughters, Cassidy and Lacey.
