The latest episode of Book of Boba Fett was a treat to Star Wars fans, with many beloved characters returning to the screen. Among these was another appearance of Grogu (Baby Yoda), who was now training. One of the biggest surprises was an appearance by bounty hunter Cad Bane. It marks another live-action appearance of a fan-favorite animation character.

A History of Cad Bane

Cad Bane has made appearances in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Clone Wars. After the death of Jango Fett during the Clone Wars, he became one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. Cad specializes in fighting Jedi and has even dueled Obi-Wan Kenobi. His reputation led him to a partnership with Darth Sidious, who hired him for espionage, among many other things.

He later worked with Jabba the Hutt and was associated with Count Dooku. During the Galactic Empire, he still worked as a bounty hunter, continuing his efforts until the era of the New Republic.

He survived mainly due to his intelligence and proficiency with various weapons. He prefers using twin blasters, though he also has a penchant for flamethrowers.

Unfinished Business

Based on the latest episode, Cad Bane will be a major villain in the show as he’s affiliated with the Pykes. He also dueled Cobb Vanth and his deputy, leaving both wounded or worse. Cad Bane worked with a younger Boba Fett, and it looks like he’s on a collision course with Mando as well.
