BTS Jungkook's solo debut Seven

With his much-awaited solo debut, BTS’ Jungkook is ready to light up the summer. BIGHIT MUSIC shared the announcement on Thursday, June 29, through Weverse, revealing that the singer-songwriter and BTS’ golden maknae will release his first digital single soon.

The song, titled Seven, is going to release on July 14. The official announcement teased the track as ‘an enlivening summer song‘ that will once again have ARMYs experience “the full breadth of Jungkook‘s charms.” Furthermore, the announcement also hinted towards more upcoming activities, beginning electricity of anticipation among the fans of BTS.

As soon as BIGHIT MUSIC announced Jungkook‘s solo debut single Seven, various hashtags, including #JungKook, #JungKookIsComing, and #Jungkook_Seven began to trend on Twitter. ARMYs flooded the app with Tweets, reaction memes, and fanart celebrating the release of JJK1.

Soon after the official announcement, Jungkook greeted 12.8 million fans through the Weverse livestream, where he worked out, sang Grenade by Bruno Mars, and also talked about his upcoming single. He shared that he plans to release a clean and explicit version of the song and the music video.

  • Jungkook also confirmed that the digital single is the beginning of his upcoming solo journey as he works on his debut album. This nod sent ARMYs into a joyous frenzy, and they began to wonder about the upcoming releases and his solo debut album. Some suggested that Jungkook may include his previous releases, Still With You and My You, in the package of his debut album.
  • Meanwhile, the golden maknae further talked about enjoying SUGA’s D-DAY concert and shared that he misses BTS Jin, currently serving his mandatory military service. He also showed his new lip-piercing, stating that some ARMYs might not like it, but he really wanted to try it. ‘Dreamers’ debuted at No.1 on the Hot Trending Songs chart

BTS Jungkook has previously released his solo music and covers through SoundCloud and collaborated with artists such as Charlie Puth. Recently, he released his solo venture ‘Dreamers‘ collaborating with Qatari artist Fahad Al Kubaisi. The song was created for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and the artists performed the song during the opening ceremony in November.

  • Dreamers quickly rose to the charts and debuted at the top spot on the Hot Trending Songs chart. Jungkook reached the top second spot on the same chart with his song Stay Alive in February 2022. Additionally, Dreamers peaked at No. 4 on Billboard Global Excl. US chart, No. 9 on Billboard Global 200, and topping Digital Song Sales in the United States.

ARMYs are preparing to once again break records and top many charts across the globe with Jungkook’s upcoming summer solo debut, Seven. The song is available to pre-save through various streaming services, and the pre-orders will begin on Weverse soon. The Seven CD is already sold out in multiple regions, and fans are asking BIGHIT Music to restock them soon.
