Kevin Durant labels Charles Barkley’s analogy “terrible” as the TNT analyst and former NBA player continue to criticize KD’s championships.
When it came time for the 2022 NBA playoffs, Charles Barkley criticized Kevin Durant for struggling to lead the Nets to victory. After winning two NBA championships with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, he questioned whether KD was essentially a champion because he was not the team’s captain and had only joined an already championship-caliber team.
As the Nets were defeated by the Celtics, Chuck started voicing his analysis. Moreover, he returned to the “bus driver” remark last Friday on ESPN, following the Warriors’ most recent championship victory.
CJ McCollum responded to Chuck on the same show on Monday by defending KD’s background. It was at this point that Durant heard of Barkley’s most recent remarks and responded with his own, labeling Barkley a “hatin’ old head.”
All this shit is nasty, another terrible analogy from a hatin old head that can’t accept that we making more bread than them. It’s just timing Chucky, don’t hate the playa https://t.co/43BWSuijjV

KD responded to Barkley’s critical analysis of him in the past.
Back in April of this year, KD had fired back at Chucky using his Instagram account. Kevin Durant sarcastically said, “Where would Chuck be without the big homies?”
With colleagues Julius Erving and Mo Cheeks, Barkley was an All-Star for the 76ers in 1986-87. A few years after Erving retired, Barkley joined the Phillies as a free agent and played alongside Cheeks for five seasons around Mo’s heyday.
