The controversies around Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. Recently, CD Projekt Red forums and Reddit were flooded with people criticizing the removal of TPP cutscenes from the game. However, a series of contrary statements have been issued from multiple people working at CDPR.
Firstly, we have an interview with Miles Tost, Senior Level Designer at CDPR, on yt/BastianRP claiming that there are cutscenes in the game where the character can be seen in the third person. The second statement comes from The Global Community Lead of CDPR, Marcin Momot. He mentions that the decision to go 100% FPP was taken to improve the “gameplay and storytelling perspectives”. However, he further adds that “players will still be able to see their characters in the inventory screen, during driving sequences, in mirrors and, very occasionally, in some of the cut-scenes.”
Finally, CD Projekt Red’s Community Manager, Lilayaah, denied the claims of cutscenes being removed on Discord saying that “I haven’t said anything about the cutscenes in my recent msg tho.” That being said, earlier, screenshots of CB2077 Facebook page confirming that there are no TPP cutscenes was revealed as well. As of now, there is still a lot of uncertainity about this, however, we can expect an official statement from CDPR soon.
