CD Projekt Red has given out cool Cyberpunk 2077 bags to the press who played the game last week. The campaign is a part of their marketing-preview event, where the invited press will publish their impressions of the game right after June 25’s Night City Wire event.
If the first paragraph confused you a little bit, let me break it down. For every game release, big publishers host several events where they allow the press to play the game earlier than anybody else so that they can push out previews and opinion pieces. This is a part of their marketing campaign. A select group of media outlets was given the opportunity to play the game early last week, a total of 4 hours. These outlets will publish their previews once the embargo’s up, i.e., right after June 25’s Night City Wire event.
What does this mean for you and me? Well, since we weren’t one of the lucky outlets to play the game, we’re with you. So, after CD Projekt Red gives us more information about the game on June 25, we’ll have a bunch of articles and videos that go in-depth with Cyberpunk 2077. We’ll learn more about the game, the gameplay elements, mechanics, and even story moments if the embargo has allowed that.
Now that the explanation is over, here’s the actual news piece. CD Projekt Red, as a thank you note for playing the game and helping them publicize the game, has given out these media outlets some cool merchandise, one of them being this cool bag –
The bag looks cool and it says “Played It Before Launch” which totally makes sense because CDPR has already confirmed that the entire game is complete and playable. They had to delay the game to finalize and polish the game.
CDPR even gave out a cool jacket to all the press outlets that were present at their E3 2019 booth. Even we got one!
Let’s see what’s more in store for us on 25th when we get more information on Cyberpunk 2077 during its Night City Wire event. We’ll keep you updated.
