Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December of 2020, following an 8-year long development period. However, fans were not completely satisfied with the release as anticipated parts of the game had been removed. Additionally, players experienced many issues and glitches in the overall experience. While these issues still persist, CDProjekt Red has been rolling out updates to improve the experience for players.

The new update has been announced. Update 1.3 is the third update for the game since it was released. The details were revealed in an in-fiction “What’s new in Night City” announcement video, revealing three new changes to the game.

The first change will be on the minimap. The minimap will show a slightly larger area than it did before. This will make driving a little easier, especially at high speeds. Players might have felt that it is easy to miss turns till now, and that is expected to change with this update.

Angel and Skye

The second change will be related to the choice between two NPCs, Angel and Skye in an early game quest. The quest takes players to the Clouds club, where players can choose between Angel and Skye to accompany them for the night.

However, players were not shown the pictures of the characters when choosing them. With the new update, players will be able to see the images of both characters when making a choice, adding a visual aspect to players’ choices.

  • The third part of the 1.3 patch will lower the cost to respec character perks. Till now, players had to visit a ripperdoc to purchase a Tabula e-Rasa for 100,000 eurobucks.
  • With the update, players can directly pay 13,200 eurobucks from the character menu. This means that perks are more affordable and accessible to players, and they can reinvest points anywhere to try out different builds on a character. However, the points can only be redistributed within the Body/Tech/Reflex that players have already invested in.
  • While CD Projekt Red has not revealed an exact date for the release of the 1.3 Patch, it is expected to be out soon since the announcement has been made.
