Dark Souls: The Game

Before anything else, let’s have a quick run-through about Dark Souls. It is an action-packed, role-playing video game that is available to play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, Xbox One, PlayStation3, Xbox 360, and Windows. This second installment from the Souls series launched in 2011. It is considered one of the greatest video games ever made.

Moreover, the fans and critics praised the game design and everything else in the game. Well, not everything, since there is a love-hate relationship between the players and the level of difficulty of Dark Souls. However, this didn’t stop FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment to create more Dark Souls. Now, we’re going to discuss the set of books to release!

Dark Souls: The Complete Collection

A great video game with superb lore, yes, that is Dark Souls in a sentence. The Dark Souls Complete Collection by George Mann released last year was the start of the game releasing comic book versions. There is a total of five novel books in the anniversary edition of the book series (we’re speaking of the Dark Souls Complete Collection, by the way!). If you want to buy this first book release, it is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Penguin Random House among other sites!

Now, we’re here to the newest Dark Souls book release, the Abyssal Archive. The 10th-anniversary edition book is published by Tune & Fairweather. As a description of this masterpiece, the publisher mentions, “We set out to pay tribute to Miyazaki’s legendary game by crafting something that embodies the same care and attention to detail that makes Dark Souls itself such a peerless work of art.” The book has two volumes with 528 pages to read, understand, and analyze.

The Standard Edition comes in a slipcase, while the Limited Edition set offers a deluxe clamshell presentation box. Also, according to the publisher’s note in the Limited Edition set, it states “The presentation box and collector’s bookmark will not be available after the campaign ends on August 14th, 2022.” Furthermore, the Benefactor costs quite a huge amount because of the following, “Setting this tier apart from the Limited Edition, customers of the Benefactor Edition will have their name credited in the Acknowledgements section of Abyssal Archive.” Also, the Benefactor Edition will only be available until August 14, 2022!

Additionally, you can purchase all the editions through Tune & Fairweather’s official website. However, these are just for pre-orders and shipping starts in 2023, as they aim to complete the manufacturing by the end of this year.
