Dead Island 2 Cross play Feature: Will it support at the launch?
Sadly, Deep Silver has confirmed that the cross-platform feature will not be available in Dead Island 2 upon its initial release. So you can’t play with friends on other platforms as they won’t be able to join your game, and you won’t be able to join theirs.
This was confirmed when a user inquired on Twitter about crossplay, and the developers of Dead Island 2 confirmed that the game does not support crossplay with a simple “no” statement.
The lack of cross-play support in Dead Island 2 may disappoint players, particularly those on Xbox Game Pass. Although, there still remains a chance that cross-play could be added in a future update for the game.
Dead Island 2 Co-op feature: How many players can join?
Yes, similar to the first game, Dead Island 2 aims to bring back that same co-op zombie mayhem for players to enjoy once again. The game will allow for up to three players to join in at once, which is a decrease of one player compared to the previous title.
