Demon Slayer S3 brings in a plethora of possibilities and theories. Another one of those theories points towards a strength test between the Stone Hashira Gyomei and the Upper Rank 3 demon Akaza. Let us have a closer look at the Gyomei vs Akaza debate.
Between the fight and the result is a thin space where there are interests and plots. Although there are no plausible plots that point towards a fight in the future between the two, a battle would prove fatal for both.
How strong is the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima?
Gyomei Himejima possesses horrifying strength and the toughest breathing technique. The Stone Breathing is for the one with the strongest heart and body. It takes a toll on the muscles and takes the longest to master. Gyomei Himejima has mastered this breathing technique with his huge build and calm personality. It is the power possessed by an individual who has surpassed human limits.
Gyomei Himejima might seem very soft and scared as a Hashira. But his breathing technique allows him to maintain a state of constant tranquility. This gives him the power to easily fight an upper-rank demon for a long duration and with equal resilience. In the battle between Gyomei vs Akaza, the Stone Hashira is, therefore, a competent and tough opponent for the upper-ranked demon.
Is Akaza stronger than he was while fighting Rengoku?
Akaza was a strong opponent against Rengoku, the Flame Hashira. They fought till sunrise and Akaza was almost defeated. Rengoku surpassed his limits and that gave Akaza an advantage over the Hashira. Because of his demonic abilities and Muzan’s blood, he was able to keep fighting Rengoku for a prolonged period. Moreover, Rengoku had a tough battle trying to defend an unconscious Tanjiro.
After the battle, Muzan Kibutsuji gave more of his blood to Akaza. Making him a stronger demon with more invincible traits, Akaza is now capable of taking down any wounded or inexperienced Hashira easily.
Being an Upper Rank who doesn’t even fear the Upper Two Doma and openly challenges Upper One Kokushibo, he is confident of his increased agility and potential.
Who will potentially win between Gyomei and Akaza?
Gyomei Himejima is a strong Hashira and might be the strongest of them all. After Rengoku’s death and Uzui’s fight in the Entertainment District, The pressure on the Hashiras to face the Upper-rank demons is more real.
Although they are prepared and battle-ready, the upper ranks have previously defeated demon slayers of the Hashira rank. This brings us to the question of whether Gyomei Himejima would win against Akaza or not.
The Stone Hashira is a strong warrior who doesn’t use a Nichirin blade. Instead, he uses a spiked mace attached to an axe. This gives him added ease of mobility and with such a strong body and build, he can land constant blows on the opponent which can be fatally powerful.
This brings us to the question of whether he can easily defeat Akaza or at least keep him engaged in battle till sunrise. The possibilities are that he can as Akaza might have regained a lot of power and also added more to his arsenal, but Gyomei Himejima is the strongest Hashira for a reason.
Conclusion
Demon Slayer S3 is loaded with possibilities and imaginative opportunities. The test of strength and the curiosity to know who might be stronger than whom is only expected. This being said, although there are scenes that give us hints about some random event, we also need to understand that a fight between a Hashira and an Upper-Rank demon is loaded with possible consequences because while one is a master at the art of battle the other is also immortal. The Gyomei vs Akaza curiosity thus continues.
