Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, known by his streamer name Dr. DisRespect, is looking to launch his very own game development studio. People who view his videos on YouTube would be familiar with the fact that the Doc has been thinking about creating his own game for quite some time now.

The Doc has some experience in game development. He worked as a level designer with Call of Duty developer Activision before moving on to becoming a full-time streamer. Right now, we know that the Doc has been working on a “vertical battle royal” game. A title that will be pit against games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends. In fact, after the Doc revealed screenshots of the new game concept, he put up a job posting on the Champions Club website looking for a studio head.

Hiring: Studio Head / Co-Founder

  • His gaming studio has not been named yet. However, it has been said that it will develop games in collaboration with “mega influencers”; to bring to life their “dream games”. Studios have partnered with influencers in promoting their games and marketing. It has been unusual for them to be a part of the game development.
  • The listing provides insight into how the studio will function. It “plans to forge a partnership with a select list of mega influencers and then work closely with them to launch their dream gaming title”.

“..gaming titles will either be incubated and developed OR partner/co-develop with existing indie game developers and launched as mega titles.”

  • As of now, just a studio head and co-founder job posting have appeared on the Champion’s Club website for the new gaming studio. They will have a partnership with Boom TV. The posting seeks someone who has at least 5 years of experience as a producer in the PC or console gaming industry in addition to other requirements. The Doc promised that they will offer a competitive salary and very high equity.
