In a post on Twitter from its official account, it’s been announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 has sold 1.1 million physical and digital copies since its launch late last year.

The game, which launched in late December 2018, is a block-building role-playing game which sees players having to rebuild the central town in each chapter, with both the quality and quantity of the buildings and decorations contributing to an overall Base Level.

The 1.1 million units sold is faster than it took the original Dragon Quest Builders to reach the same milestone. The first game took 12 months to reach 1.1 million worldwide sales.

In a twitter post, a statement said: “Thank you to all of our builders everywhere for helping #dragonquest builders 2 reach 1.1 million sales worldwide! Let’s keep on building bigger and better! #DQB2.

Recently, the Dragon Quest Builders 2 season pass was released, which extends the acclaimed title released earlier this month, gives access to a series of new content, recipes, haircuts, clothes and additional areas to explore.
