Draymond Green Returns to GSW’s Line-Up Against the Wizards

On Steph Curry’s 34th birthday (March 14), the terrific trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are finally reunited!

This is the first time they will play together since 2019. After more than 1000 days, the dominant Warriors trio will be able to share the court once again in a battle against the Washington Wizards. They will be hosting the Wizards at home, in Oakland (Chase Arena).

Draymond Green last played last January 9 before suffering back injuries.

  • The Warriors definitely missed Draymond’s presence on the floor. His defense, court vision, and playmaking is making a great impact on the Dubs.
  • Green, who was selected an All-Star this season, has been averaging 7.8 points, 7.3 assists, 7.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

During the game, Steph Curry exploded for 47 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds while shooting 50% from behind the arc.

What a way to celebrate his 34th birthday and Draymond Green’s return! Additionally, Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson played well and contributed 20 points apiece. The Warriors’ shooting and ball movement were very exciting and fun to watch. Just by watching them, you can already feel the aura of the GSW we’ve all known in the past years.

Curry and the Warriors easily take the victory against the Wizards, 126-112. This win marks their fourth straight win. Currently, they are tied with Memphis Grizzlies as the 2nd seed on the western conference (47-22).

The Wizards, on the other hand, had lost their fourth straight game. They are now down to the 11th seed (29-38). Kristaps Porzingis led the Wizards, putting up 25 points and 8 rebounds.

With Green’s return, the Warriors are back on track and are once again a championship-caliber team.

They’re surely a better team with Curry, Thompson, and Green on the court. Add to that line-up some young talented guys like Poole, Wiggins, and Kuminga, the Golden State Warriors are looking to take back what was previously theirs, the Larry O’Brien Trophy. James Wiseman isn’t even playing yet and they’re already one of the best teams in the league!
