Minecraft streamer Dream has finally released his response video addressing most of the controversies surrounding him. In the one-hour-long video, he talked about his face leak, speedrun cheating, fight with Gumball, Snapchat video, Burner 22’s grooming allegations, and more. The persons behind the allegations, Sam and alleged victim Jamie also featured in the address to give their testimonies. Here’s a coverage of the whole scandal.
Dream addresses grooming allegations
The Minecraft streamer uploaded a long-awaited response to grooming allegations clarifying the scandals in an unorthodox manner. Before we get into the complete assembling of ‘who said what’ here’s a summary of the allegations:

In November 2023, an anonymous netizen named Burner 22 shared alleged proof of Dream grooming a 16-year-old fan. The victim was identified as Jamie after alleged videos of her explicit conversation with then 20-year-old streamer were uploaded online.
On December 19, 2023, netizens used the Wayback Machine to find old Tweets of Jamie across three accounts verifying her age as 17-year-old in 2019 and her relations with Dream on various platforms. Dream addressed these allegations in his response video refuting and debunking everything.

He shared a statement from Jamie (although it was only independently verified by him and other people who knew her) stating that she wasn’t a victim of grooming and everything posted by Burner 22 was without her consent.
Burner 22 and Sam
In our past coverage, we shared the identity of the Burner 22 account mentioning that the anonymous individual isn’t a direct contact of the streamer but they received a tip-off. Following the latest video, it is revealed that the tip was from someone named Sam, who gave the clips to Burner 22 in hopes for them to cross-check it with Jamie.

She also gave a brief statement on Dream video address stating that she regrets her decision to contact Burner 22 and has clarified the misunderstanding with Dream. She also felt apologetic towards Jamie, who became a victim of this situation, after reading her statement.
Burner 22 addressed Sam’s statements on X expressing shock and doubts about the video but hasn’t responded to the latest statements at the time of writing this article. On the other hand, Dream also refrained from directly addressing Snapchat videos and the 24-page documents.
However, the legitimacy of them doesn’t hold much importance now as Jamie has indirectly confirmed that she wasn’t a victim of grooming. The videos are either fake or an intimate conversation between the two that wasn’t intended to be shared with anyone else.
