Good news for Android 12 users! Sony has published a new patch to the PS Remote Play app. Users will now be able to use the system to play games by attaching a DualSense controller via Bluetooth.

If you have a PlayStation 5 and a Google Pixel 6 or any Pixel phone, you can now connect a DualSense wireless controller with Remote Play to connect your console games to your mobile.

The update added improvements in the use of DualShock 4, which now also features the:

  • Touchpad
  • Motion Sensor
  • Vibration
  • Battery Indicator

The PS Remote Play app allows the user to remotely play games running on a PS4 or PS5 console. It is free and also available for PC and iOS.

Users with Android 10 up will be able to use Remote Play with a DualShock 4, but will not be able to access the new features.

  • It’s a big update, but it won’t benefit a lot of people because it requires Android 12, which most non-Pixel phones don’t have. However, in the following weeks and months, we expect many devices to receive the new operating system.
  • The PS4 gamepad may still be linked to phones running Android 10 or Android 11 to make use of the latest DualShock 4 functionality.
  • This improvement will undoubtedly entice gamers to curl up this winter and play with their Sony controllers longer.

According to AndroidPolice, you can use the controller with an Android 11 device. But features like the rumble and touchpad won’t work, and you can run into additional issues.
