Dying Light 2: Nintendo Switch Release Date, All Details

Fans of the Dying Light franchise have received some interesting news. Both Dying Light and Dying Light 2 are going to make an entrance to the Nintendo Switch platform.

While the first game is going to be available to play from October 19 on the console as Dying Light Platinum Edition, the release of Dying Light 2 on all platforms has been pushed back to 2022. The announcement of a Cloud version of Dying Light 2 was made at the Nintendo Direct event.

The parkour-infused open-world franchise differs from other games. It depends on the players’ ability to use parkour skills in navigating through the undead and other humans. While the release on the Switch platform has been confirmed, it is yet to be seen how the gaming experience is going to be in comparison to the other platforms.

“We’ve been imagining Dying Light on the Nintendo Switch for a very long time. Getting into the free flow of parkour and exploring our deadly open world has never been more of an adrenaline rush. The flexibility of the Switch helps to immerse you into our world and makes you feel physically involved in it, with the flow of movement and visceral combat enhanced by the dynamic haptic feedback and motion control.”
– Agnesa Belegu, Lead Game Designer

The official Nintendo page for the Dying Light 2 states that this cloud version will be available from the 4th of February, 2022. The description follows with the statement, “The virus won and civilization has fallen back to the Dark Ages. The City, one of the last human settlements, is on the brink of collapse.”

The player will have to survive in combat, hone their skills, and make allies while being tormented by memories. Above all, they will have to stay human. Check out the announcement trailer below.

I feel that if the first dying light game was available, on a game cartridge that there’s no reason the second one should too. I just recently purchased the first game on a game card and I am not disappointed at all and think this is a great achievement
