A lot of the Incantations available in the Cathedral of Dragon Communion aren’t especially spectacular. Some are still worth mentioning because of the damage they may aid you during combats. Here are our top 10 Dragon Communion Incantations.

Top 10 Dragon Communion Incantations

Dragon Communion Incantations, along with Dragon Cult Incantations, are a set of Incantations in Elden Ring that focus around the draconic force, primarily breath blows.  In order to be performed, you need Faith and Arcane.

There are 14 Dragon Communion Incantations to choose from. Dragon Communion Incantations can be purchased with Dragon Heart instead of Runes at certain churches throughout the game. The most popular method of earning them is via slaying dragons all across the Lands Between.

Dragonice

Communion are called the dragon-hearted. – in-game description

  • Dragonice is very easy to come by. Firstly, it’s extremely effective against hordes or non-boss foes. The inexpensive casting consumption makes this a no-brainer.
  • When unleashed, it hurt your opponent and causes frostbite. The status condition reduces hit absorption and decreases stamina restoration.

  • Found in Limgrave. This Incantation is undoubtedly among the most potent fiery spells in the game if your Faith is above average, due to its vast reach and the fact that it blurts fire from above, which improves its impact against guarded and high-poise targets.

  • This Incantation can be used in a range of methods and is efficient against bosses and mobs who are vulnerable to fire damage.

Placidusax’s Ruin

Power gleaned form the remembrance of Dragonlord Placidusax.
Transforms caster into the Dragonlord to spew golden breath from above. This incantation can be cast while jumping
These are the dying wails of the Dragonlord who once dwelled eternal beyond time. – in-game description

  • Placidusax’s Ruin is the only Dragon Cult Incantation that you can get in neither the Church nor the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. This is a late-game spell that allows you to fire Breath from above.
  • You can claim it by trading the Dragonlord’s Remembrance with Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The most powerful of all the Dragon-related Incantations, this spell demands 36 Faith to cast. It is the only spell in this category that may be targeted while being cast.
  • Placidusax’s Ruin is one of those devastating Elden Ring abilities that can end many battle engagements in moments.

ABOUT THE PLACIDUSAX’S RUIN…

When you reach Crumbling Farum Azula, the secret boss Placidusax, a two-headed dragon, is not accessible until you are nearing the finale.

And even if it is essentially not a Dragon Communion spell, it is given just because it is dragon breath that you may obtain by slaying a dragon.

CHURCH OF DRAGON COMMUNION

  • Limgrave is home to the Church of Dragon Communion. To get to this region, you must first pass via the Coastal Cave. Caelid is home to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
  • Many Dragon Communion Incantations are linked to a Dragon Boss, particularly Breaths. This indicates you must defeat the Dragon associated with that Incantation in order to obtain it.
    • Defeating Flying Dragon Agheel unlocks the purchase of Agheel’s Flame.
    • Except for Theodorix’s Magma, which does more damage, named Dragon breath attacks like Agheel’s Flame deal roughly more damage than the basic version like Dragonfire.
    • You can also launch into the air on some of these incantations.
