Finland performed in the opening semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest. As one of the favorites to win the contest, Käärijä has performed the cheerful song, Cha Cha Cha. The party song is about having fun and unwinding with a drink on a night out.

After viewing Finland’s Cha Cha Cha song with subtitles, Eurovision fans were in stitches.

With Cha Cha Cha, a fusion of rap, electronica, metal, and schlager, Finnish artist Käärijä performed on stage in Liverpool, attracting attention as he danced around in a neon green bolero jacket.

Käärijä won hearts with his performance of Cha Cha Cha in Eurovision

Since 2014, Käärijä has been creating music. His entry for Eurovision 2023 was written with the help of his two friends, producers Aleksi Nurmi and Johannes ‘Kiro’ Naukkarinen. They have each sold multiple platinum records.

The latest single by Käärijä is Cha Cha Cha. After winning Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2023, Finland’s national selection for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, the song represented the country there. The song placed second with overall 526 votes, falling shy of Sweden’s winning score of 583 for Loreen’s Tattoo. The song received 376 points in the final, winning the public vote.

However, several viewers at home had the brilliant idea to turn on subtitles, and they did not let us down. While many of the viewers were perplexed by the on-stage action, watching as Käärijä danced his way around a number of wooden pallets, many were blown away by the actual meaning and the lyrics of the song.

What are the lyrics of Cha Cha Cha?

The lyrics of the song Cha Cha Cha are:

This exhausting week and the many long days are behind us. There’s only bar and piña colada on my mind

There is some time for a few, the night is still youngish. This icy shell is something I have to demolish

Holding on the drinks with both hands tied on them like a Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha.

There’s no tomorrow when I grab a pint tightly like a Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha.

Wanna mess my head up and to free my mind of fear like a Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha.

And I stay on this seat until I have to climb off it like a couple piña coladas I have devoured.

Yet the expression I have on my face is sour. There is some time for a few, the night is still youngish

This icy shell is something I have to demolish. The floor is calling me when I’m no longer so frozen. Like a cha cha cha I am approachin’.

According to Wiwibloggs.com, the lively song may triumph since it is sure to get everyone moving.

They said that “much like every other poll he’s featured in, Käärijä once again emerges as our readers’ pre-rehearsal favorite”.

“The pina coladas will be flowing when the Finnish star takes to the stage, with many fans thinking he could be the one to give Finland their second Eurovision victory”, he added.

6.362 votes, or 16.81 percent of the total, went to Cha Cha Cha.

They trail Sweden, the overwhelming favorite, by just a hair.

The audience preferred Finland’s Käärijä, while Loreen of Sweden won the day thanks to national jury voting.
