Junichi Masuda, lead producer of Pokemon Sword and Shield, and director Shigeru Ohmori have revealed some details about the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield game, in an interview with Inside Gamer (translated to English from Dutch).

In the interview, he mentions why they chose to turn EXP Share Always On. He says,“Almost everyone already had it on before, so for most people nothing changes in practice.”  He further adds, “Those who have it off, mainly want to train one specific Pokémon. We thought: is there a way to achieve that? There is, simply by putting the rest of your Pokémon in the PC. “

As far as EXP Sharing is concerned, it has changed a lot over the years. The EXP Share item is no longer present in the game as well, so it’ll be interesting to see how these changes affect the overall gameplay and levelling.
