Rihanna becomes most followed female on Twitter after Katy Peery

According to Billboard’s recent update, the queen Rihanna has become the queen of Twitter as well. She recently rose from her spot on the 2023 Top 10 Twitter accounts and took the crown of the most-followed woman on the social networking site. Before Rihanna, this crown belonged to the pop singer Katy Perry.

Rihanna’s fans were waiting for her new music release for six years when her song in Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever came as the first rain after a drought. The song Lift Me also achieved critical acclaim and received an Oscar nomination. Additionally, her Super Bowl performance became a strong competitor to the game itself.

Due to this recent achievement, her fan following also grew significantly and resulting in her becoming the most-followed woman on Twitter. She recently returned to Billboard’s Top 10 Pop Airplay chart with her track Bloody Mary. The song originally released in 2011 in her celebrated album Born this way resurfaced on the charts due to a Netflix’s Wednesday trend on TikTok.

The eighth spot on Twitter’s most-followed account belongs to India’s prime minister Narendra Modi. He has achieved 87.8 million followers as of April 2023.

He is going to inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express train in India’s popular tourist attraction Rajasthan on April 12. Twitter’s CEO Elon Musk also started following the 14th and current prime minister of India recently.

The seventh spot on Twitter’s most-followed account belongs to pop singer Taylor Swift. She has achieved 92.5 million followers as of April 2023.

The Midnights singer recently successfully kicked off her Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium near Phoenix with 44 songs. She was also in news due to her alleged break up with long-time boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

The sixth spot on Twitter’s most-followed account belongs to Football player Christiano Ronaldo. He has achieved 108 million followers as of April 2023.

The world-famous player also records 834 senior career goals and over 1,100 professional career appearances. He is scheduled to play at the Saudi Pro League on April 27, 2023, in Al-Nassr vs Al-Raed.
