Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Part 2 release date was announced during the 25th Year Anniversary Celebration Livestream. Here are what we know so far.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

On the recent live stream of Square Enix, Final Fantasy 7 celebrated its 25th anniversary. In the live stream, the developers announced that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming next winter. Square Enix officially named the 2nd installment of the Trilogy as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The long-awaited game and continuation of the Final Fantasy Remake will be playable exclusively on Playstation 5.

The official trailer shows various Final Fantasy 7 characters specifically Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Zack, and Tifa (voice). The story will center around Cloud and his party leaving Midgard to explore the outer world. The trailer also shows the players wonder what the fate of the world will be like.

These are the interesting lines and events from the trailer. These left fans wondering and on the edge of their seats.

  • Changed Fate – The trailer started off with this statement which right off the bat brings uncertainty and without a doubt puts new twists on the story.
What we’ve done is set in stone. The past is forever, but the future, even if it has been written, can be changed. So focus on the future, not the past.”
-Aerith Gainsborough, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth First Look Trailer
  • Cloud’s Nibelheim Flashback – A large part of the trailer was Cloud and Sepiroth walking side by side thru a hilly terrain overlooking the jagged edges of the Nibel mountains and the Mako Reactor.

  • Zack Fair Carrying Cloud – Zack is alive! Need I say more? Kidding aside, it looks the Zack Fair will have an interesting role in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

  • Aerith’s Death Scene – In a flash, Aerith’s death scene flashed along with after a Meteor hitting Gaia and the ending of an interesting voiceover of Tifa.

  • Tifa’s Destiny – To add to the uncertainties, Tifa’s voice-over in a conversation with Cloud questions what is reality and what is fiction.
Wait. What are you implying? That I died? That I’m some kind of an imposter?”
