The latest Fire Emblem game for Nintendo Switch, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, was presented at the Nintendo Direct on February 9th. Instead of its original tactical gameplay, players fight in third-person action combat against hordes of foes.

Byleth, Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard are among the characters from Fire Emblem: Three Houses who appear in Three Hopes. Three Hopes, according to the trailer, is a fresh tale in the same universe.

It’s unclear how it will tie into Three Houses’ many tales. Several characters interact in the teaser where they didn’t in the actual game. A scene is significant as one appears to be fighting Byleth from Three Hopes in the trailer.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

The original Fire Emblem Warriors game was available in 2017. Three Hopes is the second Fire Emblem Warriors game. Marth, Lucina, Chrom, Corrin, and other characters from the series work together in a timeline that is vastly different from their own. It’s practically a Fire Emblem crossover with interactions that wouldn’t be imaginable in any of the cast members’ original universes.

The team behind Dynasty Warriors and other Warriors-themed games, Omega Force, will also be in charge of developing for this project.

Parallel Universe Setting

If Three Hopes follows in the footsteps of the classic FEW, it will most likely feature Three Houses’ staff and students in a parallel universe to their own. For those unfamiliar, Fire Emblem: Three Houses sets the rulers of the three Houses, the Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer against one another.

First in an intellectual duel, then in a full-fledged war. The Three Hopes teaser, on the other hand, reveals them fighting alongside one another. It’s uncertain whether this means that some characters will be spared from their destiny.
