Fortnite Season 8: Shared/NPC XP Buffs Confirmed

Fortnite

Quests have been a constant part of Fortnite since the beginning. While the rewards and the nature of quests have varied across different quests, seasons, and chapters, they have always been present. In Season 8, some quests such as the Party Quests did not offer any XP award, which players might receive if they would like to attempt the quest multiple times.

NPC quests in Fortnite each have five Party Quests, which can be shared with friends. All the players participating in a squad in the shared Party quests receive the same amount of XP, even if particular players have not completed the quests.

This is a great way to boost XP and gain levels if players are looking to do that. However, when quests did not have XP rewards for players, it did not provide much incentive for players to re-do the quests and was one less way to gain XP.

XP Boost

  • Recent data mining brought us the information that there will be an XP boost for quests in the latest update. This information leak told us that some quests will award players with 2×1000 or 3×1000 more XP than what was already being awarded. Following the leak, Epic Games quickly confirmed the new update, giving us the exact details of the new XP buffs.
  • While Common quests will reward players 2500 XP, Uncommon quests will give them 2650 XP, Rare quests will provide 2750 XP, Epic quests will give 2900 XP and Legendary quests will get players 3750 XP! This will provide players with an interesting opportunity to level up in the game without spending much time.

  1. Do party assist quests that you start have to be completed by a friend? I have a few party assist quests I started but they won’t complete even though I’ve done what they asked.

      1. I’ve been playing in a duo and I start the quest by getting it from an npc. The quest then appears in my party quest challenges menu. However when I complete what’s required the quest does not complete and remains in my menu. Does my duo partner have to complete the quests that I get from the npc?
