In the latest collaboration between Fortnite and Star Wars, players have the chance to snag exclusive in-game rewards simply by tuning in to Twitch streams. Among the enticing goodies up for grabs are the Growling Chewbacca Emoticon and the Fortnite Loading Screen. However, there’s a twist: you’ll need to act fast and keep your eyes peeled during live streams to collect the items needed for the rewards, as they’ll only appear for a few seconds.
How to Link Your Twitch Profile to Your Epic Games Account

- Visit your connected accounts page while signed in.
- Click the Connect button located below the Twitch icon.
- Select the LINK ACCOUNT button.
- Click Authorize.
How to Start Watching on Twitch
- Start by visiting the Twitch stream of any participating creator, such as Prospering.
- If the creator has enabled the extension, you’ll see different Fortnite items popping up on the screen during the stream.
- Click on each item as it appears to add it to your collection. Remember, you have to be quick – if you miss an item, you’ll have to wait for it to reappear.
- Check the Collection tab of the extension to keep track of the items you’ve collected.
- Once you’ve completed your collection on Twitch, you’ll be rewarded with the Galaxies Collide Loading Screen in Fortnite.
- Total Number of Items to Collect: 14 to get the loading screen.
- Time to Collect: Less than 1 hour if you don’t miss an item.
How to Collect and What to Expect
- The items you catch on the stream are only visual and will not appear in your Fortnite Locker.
- Make sure you’re logged in with your Twitch profile and have linked your Epic account so you can receive the rewards. Linking may take up to 60 minutes to process.
- The rewards will be granted directly to your linked Epic account within 30 days.
- You’ll also earn the Growling Chewbacca Emoticon just by linking your Twitch and Epic accounts.
Additional Information
- You can view your placement on the Channel Leaderboard or Global Leaderboard to see how you stack up against other participants.
- The Fortnite items will be available for collection until May 14, 2024, at 3 PM ET.
What’s a Takeover?
- When a channel’s community collects a certain number of items total, the creator can choose another channel to initiate a Takeover.
- The selected channel will be flooded with Fortnite items for the community to click on.
