Where to find
The easiest way to find a Thunder Spear in Fortnite is by searching Chests and Scout Regiment Footlockers. The Footlockers are special containers easily distinguished by the symbol of the Survey Corps. For those unfamiliar with Attack on Titan, the Survey Corps is the military branch that has access to and uses Thunder Spears in the anime/manga.
On the other hand, there is a slim chance for players to find a Thunder Spear on the ground. However, you are better off searching for this weapon in Chests.
- Its drop rate is boosted in the Scout Regiment Footlockers, so be sure to search in those.
- The new weapon in Fortnite uses Rockets for ammo. Players also need to make sure that they are aiming properly and at a distance since its ammo detonates on impact.
- Since Rockets are a bit hard to come by in Fortnite, make every shot count. You can also prioritize finishing the Eren Jaeger quest first where you need to use this weapon in Fortnite.

How to use Thunder Spear effectively in Fortnite
Although you do need to damage enemies for one of the Eren Jaeger quests, you also need to watch your Rockets ammo when you have a Thunder Spear equipped.
- The best way to maximize the use of this weapon is by using it to destroy structures and expose any opponents hiding.
- Another strategy you can use with a Thunder Spear equipped is throwing it directly at enemies in vehicles. Chances are you can cause a significant amount of damage on enemies with just one shot. However, it might take two or more shots to actually knock down an enemy.
