Genshin Impact Adds 120fps Support For iOS

Apple named Genshin Impact the best game in the Apple Design Awards category of “Visuals & Graphics in Games” earlier this year. The 2.2 patch adds fresh activities, quests, character banners, and the latest Tsurumi island to the game. The latest version also features a new graphical feature to improve the gameplay experience for iOS users.

Supported Devices

  • Select iOS devices now have specific support mode thanks to miHoyo. The ProMotion display on the iPad Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max allows users to take full advantage of this element.
  • The open-world game now has a new 120 FPS configuration, according to GSM Arena. This aspect works well with the next-generation gadgets that use ProMotion Display’s fast refresh rate.
  • Other iOS patrons who play Genshin Impact will still be able to choose between 30fps and 60fps. The same would be true for the Android, PlayStation, and PC editions of the game.
  • However, a few iOS players will be allowed to play the game at increased frame rates for the first time. Gamers will have more visual effects and less input latency when the 120fps attribute is activated, resulting in a smoother gaming experience.

It’s unclear why miHoYo chose to add the 120 FPS feature to mobile platforms rather than the PC or other gaming systems first. In some way, the attribute could be implemented in upcoming updates.

Tsurumi Island

The final island of the Inazuma region also comes with Patch 2.2. Inazuma region came with Genshin Impact 2.0 and ever since then fans have been eagerly waiting for it to be completely unlocked. The island is inside a dense fog, you might encounter some challenges while exploring this area.

You will face a number of Rifthounds and the Rifthound Whelps beasts on the island amidst the fog. In case they attack your character, all party members will get the “Corrosion” status. As a result, they will continually lose HP regardless if you have a shield or not.
