Genshin Impact features a wide array of bosses which Travelers can battle for some precious treasure. Here is a guide to all Genshin Impact bosses, their locations, and the recommended levels before fighting them.
All Genshin Impact Bosses
Genshin Impact is out for nearly two years now and over the course of updates, the game has introduced all kinds of enemies. By battling these enemies, Travelers can acquire special treasure used in upgrading their characters as well as equipment.
But aside from battling Normal Enemies, players can also choose to fight against Bosses in Genshin Impact. After defeating these Bosses, Travelers are rewarded with high-tier loot essential in making them stronger as they journey across Teyvat.
Each region hosts different kinds of Bosses you can challenge for a certain amount of Original Resin. Although Resin refills over time, Travelers can also consume Fragile Resin to quickly fill up their Resin count.
Keep in mind that although you can battle Bosses anytime you want, you will need Resin to claim the rewards obtainable after defeating them.
Furthermore, there are two categories of Bosses in Genshin Impact: there are the Weekly Bosses and the World or Field Bosses. For Weekly Bosses, you can only challenge them once per week. And for World Bosses, Travelers can fight them anytime as long as they have enough Resin to claim the rewards.

Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact
At the moment, there are six Weekly Bosses accessible in Genshin Impact. Each region (Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma) has two Weekly Bosses available to fight. These Bosses are vital to leveling and ascending your characters since they can drop rare Artifacts, Character Ascension, and Crafting Materials.
Moreover, the first three Weekly Bosses you fight will only cost you 30 Original Resin to claim your rewards. However, you need 60 Original Resin if you choose to fight other Weekly Bosses after claiming three rewards from other Bosses. Additionally, you can only fight them once but they do reset on Monday, 4 AM Server Time.
Recommended levels to fight Weekly Bosses
The recommended levels to defeat these Weekly Bosses depend on a Traveler’s World Level (WL).
World Level (WL) | Adventure Rank | Weekly Boss Level |
0 | 1 – 19 | 36 |
1 | 20 – 25 | 37 – 39 |
2 | 25 – 29 | 41 – 42 |
3 | 30 – 35 | 50 – 51 |
4 | 35 – 39 | 62 – 63 |
5 | 40 – 45 | 72 – 73 |
6 | 45 – 50 | 83 – 84 |
7 | 50 – 54 | 91 – 92 |
8 | 55 – 60 | 93 – 94 |
Even though the Boss Levels are intimidating to look at, the rewards which you can get after defeating them at a certain level also increases. If a Weekly Boss is at Lvl. 50/51, they can drop five-star artifacts. Then, Lvl. 91/92 Weekly Bosses drop two five-star Character Level-Up Materials.
So despite the fight being a bit difficult to end, it will definitely be worth it especially if you’re building your characters.
Take note that you need to progress through the story in Genshin Impact first since most of these Weekly Bosses are locked behind Story Quests. So if you’re planning on leveling up a Character anytime soon, make sure that you’ve cleared most of the Story Quests especially if they involve an Archon.

World or Normal Bosses in Genshin Impact
As for World or Normal Bosses in Genshin Impact, there are currently sixteen of these Enemies. Compared to the two other regions, Inazuma is home to seven out of the sixteen World or Normal Bosses spread all over Teyvat.
Similar to Weekly Bosses, these types of Bosses in Genshin Impact drop rare and vital items to leveling up or ascending your Characters. Furthermore, they drop Character Ascension Materials and Artifacts. However, the rarity or quality of these drops is also dependent on your World Level.
After defeating the World or Normal Bosses, Travelers need to spend 40 Original Resin to claim the rewards. But these Enemies are different from Weekly Bosses since you can farm from them as much as you want.
But do keep in mind that these Bosses in Genshin Impact take some time to respawn. It takes around three minutes in real time for a World or Normal Boss to respawn. Additionally, Travelers need to teleport away from the Boss’ location for it to properly respawn.
Recommended levels to fight World or Normal Bosses
The recommended levels to defeat these World or Normal Bosses in Genshin Impact depend on a Traveler’s World Level (WL).
If a World or Normal Boss is at Lvl. 72/73, they can drop five-star artifacts. Then, Lvl. 93/94 World or Normal Bosses are guaranteed to drop a five-star artifact.
So despite the fight being a bit difficult to end, it will definitely be worth it especially if you’re looking for the right artifacts that will compliment your Character.
Similar to Weekly Bosses, some of these Bosses in Genshin Impact also require you to finish certain quests before they are accessible. On the other hand, some World Bosses are already unlocked as you make progress through the story.
Additionally, the quests are already part of the main storyline so if you’re making progress in a certain region, you may have already completed the required quests without realizing it.
