Following the release of Genshin Impact 2.8, Travelers are faced with the Astral Puzzle which most find hard to solve. Here is a guide on how to solve the Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact 2.8 update.
What is the Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact?
The Astral Puzzle can only be found in Mona’s Domain. To gain access to this, Travelers must first participate in the new event that came with the update for this patch in Genshin Impact. The quest Travelers need to take on is The Ancient Azure Stars.
As you progress through the quest, players can find themselves entering Mona’s large and vast domain. And while you’re inside, you need to solve four Astral Puzzles. Just a heads up that these puzzles are a bit hard to solve. So chances are, you’re one of the Travelers stuck doing this quest and needing a quick solution.
Here are all the requirements you need to start doing the Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact:
- Travelers must be at Adventure Rank 32 or higher
- Must have already completed the Archon Quest, Chapter II: Prologue – Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves
- Additionally, you should also be finished with Mona’s Story Quest
If you meet all the requirements, then you can take part in the Summertime Odyssey event in Genshin Impact. But take note that you also have to finish other quests included in the event first before you can get to Mona’s Domain.

How to solve Astral Puzzles
Although Travelers are going to encounter different kinds of puzzles while in Mona’s Domain, one of these is rather tricky. The Astral Puzzles you take on while in Mona’s Domain have confused a lot of Travelers.
As soon as you walk into a room, you will immediately find a constellation flashing above your character. This constellation pattern is what you need to recreate using the mechanism in front of you. And although it sounds simple, a handful of Travelers in Genshin Impact ran into some difficulties while solving this.

So to help out those who are still stuck doing the Astral Puzzles, here are the steps on how to solve each Astral Puzzle:
Astral Puzzle #1
Among the four Astral Puzzles in Genshin Impact, the first one is the easiest one to solve. The constellation pattern you need to recreate using the nodes is a bow and arrow. And yes, it does look complicated at first glance. But we promise that it is easy enough to execute compared to the succeeding puzzles in Mona’s Domain.
Follow the image below to easily solve this puzzle. Take note that throughout the puzzle, most of the constellations projected on the ceiling are flipped. What this means is that the top part of the constellation needs to point in the opposite direction once you start recreating it with the nodes.
After you’re sure that you recreated the constellation for this Astral Puzzle, you can start hitting the nodes. This is because it activates the beams of the nodes. Then, you’ll also find out if you successfully solved the puzzle if a chest appears.
Astral Puzzle #2
After you solve the first Astral Puzzle, you’ll find that the next ones are more difficult to solve. For this second Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to look through a crack in the ceiling to see the constellation. This is the challenge presented by this Astral Puzzle.
On the other hand, you also have the choice to activate the star right next to the puzzle. By doing this, you’ll be given a hint on what you need to do to solve this puzzle. Follow the pattern below to easily solve this puzzle in Genshin Impact.
Astral Puzzle #3
Moving on to the third Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact, the constellation is not displayed on the ceiling this time. But don’t worry since the pattern is found to the sealed area to your right.
Don’t mind the barrier as this just keeps you in the room where the puzzle is. But if you look closely, you can find the constellation pattern through the door blocked off by the invisible barrier.
Additionally, players can also try and imagine what a stickman running to the left looks like. That’s essentially the constellation pattern needed to solve this puzzle. Moreover, you can refer to the image below for the pattern you need to recreate with the nodes.
Astral Puzzle #4
And for the final Astral Puzzle in Genshin Impact, this is as complex as it gets. Unlike the third puzzle, the pattern you need to follow is projected on the ceiling again. Additionally, you also have access to a switch which shows different patterns for the constellation.
To save you the trouble of finding the right pattern, it looks like a windmill. However, it isn’t your regular windmill which is just a long structure with fans.
Think of the windmills in countryside farms where it has a building underneath it. This is the type of windmill which looks like the pattern you need to recreate for this puzzle.
Also, make sure that the five nodes are pointing to the center node. Afterwards, you can try hitting it to see if the pattern you created is the right one.
